Marc-Andre ter Stegen breaks silence on Barcelona after Germany return | OneFootball

With Joan Garcia established as the starter in Barcelona goal, this decision to leave is already proving to be beneficial for the German coach. After a significant time, he was called up by his national side, as Jurgen Klopp named him in his first Germany squad.

He started in goal for the game against Xavi Hernandez’s Dutch national side in the UEFA Nations League opener last night, and, as Mundo Deportivo has reported, also talked to the media after the match. Among other things, the goalkeeper remembered Barcelona, and praised their excellent start to the season:

Despite the difficult last few years, there is no doubt about Ter Stegen’s love for Barcelona. However, the Blaugrana club has already moved on from him, with Joan Garcia looking set to be their long-term goalkeeper, and hopefully, the German coach will take full advantage of his loan at Ajax and continue playing at the highest level for several more years.
