Real Madrid have signed Marc Cucurella from Chelsea on a six-year contract running to 30 June 2032, strengthening their summer rebuild after José Mourinho’s return.

The clubs reached agreement on Monday. According to L'Équipe, the fee is estimated at €60m, €55m plus €5m in add-ons. The left-back, 27, had also attracted interest from Barcelona and Atlético Madrid.

Cucurella has been named in Spain’s squad for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, which runs from 11 June to 19 July.

Since joining Chelsea in 2022, he has made 163 appearances and scored nine goals.

His arrival follows that of France international Ibrahima Konaté, underlining Madrid’s busy start to the summer window.
