Marco Silva unfazed by Porto loss as Benfica target title despite five-point gap | OneFootball

Marco Silva has not been shaken by Benfica’s 3-1 defeat at the Dragão and still believes the title is attainable, according to Glorioso 1904. The head coach and his dressing room remain confident.

Reduced to 10 after Lenglet’s dismissal, Benfica still found the net, created danger and stayed competitive in Porto.

The internal reading is that the scoreline did not fully reflect the display and that, 11 against 11, the contest could have been far more balanced.

The setback cost three points in a direct duel, yet the objectives are unchanged. With a five-point gap to the summit, Benfica still intend to fight for the championship to the end.

Silva plans to use the international break to address errors from the Dragão, particularly around maturity and emotional control. Inside the camp, the message is simple, defeat has not dented belief in the title.
