Marcos Lamacchia, a prospective buyer of Vasco’s football arm, wore the club shirt and stepped onto the Nubank Parque pitch before Sunday’s 24th round match at Palmeiras.
The son of José Roberto Lamacchia, the Crefisa owner was accompanied by football director Admar Lopes and sported a shirt bearing Colidio’s name, Vasco’s recent signing.
Asked about negotiations, he said they are waiting for the courts to authorise an auction, and for now that was all he could say.
The sale of the Vasco SAF has not been concluded. The process is advancing and a concrete proposal from Almirante Participações, Lamacchia’s company, will serve as the minimum reference in a competitive process.
On the pitch he met Leila Pereira, his father’s wife and Palmeiras president. They posed for photos and swapped shirts, she received a Vasco top and he a Palmeiras one.
The main hurdle remains Vasco’s judicial back and forth. “I think the back and forth inside Vasco politics disrupted the process, we nearly left the table several times, and after two and a half years we concluded the process and signed an investment agreement,” said André Sica, the family’s legal representative, speaking to ge.
Kick off is at 16:00 Brasília time.
