Marcos Leonardo 'to stay' at Al Hilal until June after Flamengo enquiry

Flamengo made an enquiry for Marcos Leonardo in this window, but the Al Hilal forward has chosen to stay put at least until June, according to ESPN.

He reached the decision after meeting with his family. The plan is to assess a new project in the second half of 2026, whether in Europe, Saudi Arabia or Brazil.

Flamengo did not enter advanced talks for Marcos Leonardo. The club only sounded out whether he would consider a return to Brazilian football in this window.

Flamengo remain active in the market for a striker. Marcos Leonardo and Kaio Jorge have both been checked, but neither has agreed a deal.
