Marius Broholm has joined Utrecht on a season-long loan from Lille.
As reported by Voetbal International, the 21-year-old winger will spend the campaign with the Eredivisie club.
Broholm was one of Lille’s major signings last summer, arriving from Rosenborg for €5 million after months of tracking. He played 56 matches and scored 19 goals for the Norwegian side, and is a Norway youth international.
He failed to establish himself in the North, falling out of Bruno Genesio’s plans after winter. His priority for the coming season was to regain regular minutes.
With new head coach Davide Ancelotti unable to guarantee game time, Broholm asked to move on. The loan does not include an option to buy, and he remains under contract with Lille until 2030.
