Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund’s Marius Wolf is likely to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer upon the expiry of his contract at the club.
At the moment, Dortmund are not planning to extend Wolf’s contract which expires in 2024. This points towards an exit for the right-back in the summer.
Wolf’s future is likely to be in the Middle East as clubs from Saudi Arabia and Qatar are pushing to sign Wolf. The 28-year-old is also open to moving to either Saudi Arabia or Qatar in the future.
A departure for Dortmund is likely the best move for Wolf as he has proven over the past couple of seasons that he is not of the quality that Dortmund need in their right-back position. A move to the Middle East will give Wolf the opportunity to earn a lot of money that is not related to the quality he brings to the team.
As of late, Julian Ryerson has been used as the alternative at right-back to Wolf as the Norweigan is more specialised on the position and although is not of first-team quality, is better than Wolf.
