Former Borussia Dortmund defender Marius Wolf will join FC Augsburg with immediate effect, according to Florian Plettenberg.
Total verbal agreement has been made and the 29-year-old will join as a free agent.
A medical is scheduled to take place today and he will sign a contract until the summer of 2027.
Last season Wolf made 31 appearances for Dortmund however he was unable to earn himself a new contract with his performances after being with the club since 2018.
Augsburg though have been in desperate need of a new right-back as Raphael Framberger and Robert Gummy are both recovering from major surgeries. Kevin Mbabu has also returned to Fulham following his season-long loan spell.
Wolf reportedly received offers from clubs in both Italy and Saudi Arabia but has made his decision to stay in the Bundesliga with Augsburg and will very much be likely be the starting right back under Jess Thorup.
