Marseille 1-1 Nice ratings: Wahi unflappable, Aubameyang anonymous | OneFootball

Elye Wahi’s late panenka rescued Nice a 1-1 draw at Marseille, the forward converting an 88th-minute penalty after Tadjidine Mmadi fouled Jonathan Clauss. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang endured a quiet night for OM.

According to L'Équipe, Hicham Boudaoui and Wahi were both rated 7, while Yéhvann Diouf earned 6 for five saves. Morgan Sanson received 4 and was replaced at half-time by Sofiane Diop, rated 6, as Aubameyang was given 3.

Diouf kept out early headers from Vermeeren on five minutes and Balerdi on 27. Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg then set up Tochukwu Nnadi for a header on 33, before being too unselfish after a superb pass from Timber on 35, trying to find Vermeeren.

After the break Aubameyang headed Weah’s cross too wide on 48, then his pressing on Boudaoui sparked a Nnadi opening on 50 that Bah thwarted before Diouf intervened. Boudaoui’s deft flick freed Wahi on 56, but Rulli saved.

Mmadi came on for Emerson on 62. Höjbjerg made it 1-0 on 66 with a diving header from Nnadi’s excellent cross, outfoxing the Nice wing-back Clauss. Mmadi then caught Clauss on 85 and Wahi levelled with a panenka on 88 amid heavy jeers.
