Marseille hope for Geoffrey Kondogbia and Tochukwu Nnadi returns during international break | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille are hoping that Geoffrey Kondogbia and Tochukwu Nnadi, both injured in the defeat to AS Monaco at the end of August, will return during the international break, as per a report from RMC Sport.

Kondogbia withdrew in the second-half of Marseille’s defeat at the Stade Louis II (2-0) last month with a muscular issue. Nnadi didn’t start the game, coming on as a substitute, but he didn’t end it either. He was forced off with what was suspected to be a serious knee injury, potentially an ACL injury. The injury sustained was indeed serious, but, wanting to help his team, who are short on cover and in crisis, the decision was taken not to undergo surgery, despite the associated risks.

As a result, like Kondogbia, Nnadi could return during the international break, RMC Sport understands. That is what the club are hoping for in any case. OM return to action against ESTAC Troyes on 11th October.
