Frank McCourt has firmly stated that a sale of Olympique de Marseille is not on the agenda, addressing supporter leaders directly during a meeting at La Commanderie on Tuesday.

The American owner acknowledged his disappointment at banners displayed during Saturday’s match at the Vélodrome but reaffirmed both his financial commitment and personal attachment to the project – according to a report from RMC Sport.

“I need you and your support,” McCourt reportedly told representatives, in what was described as a calm and constructive exchange. Supporter groups raised concerns about chronic instability within the club, pointing to managerial turnover, executive reshuffles, and squad churn. They also expressed frustration at a perceived lack of identity and emotional connection to the club.

Benatia reportedly argued that regular qualification for the UEFA Champions League would bring greater stability, while McCourt urged the squad to secure a podium finish and target Coupe de France success.GFFN | George Boxall
