Marseille predicted XI v Ajax: Leonardo Balerdi out? | OneFootball

Olympique de Marseille captain Leonardo Balerdi could miss out on tonight’s UEFA Champions League match against Ajax Amsterdam.

The exact nature of Balerdi’s injury is unclear, however, he is touch-and-go as to whether he will be fit to start. Should he not be fit, he would likely be replaced by Facundo Medina, although England youth international CJ Egan-Riley is another option at Roberto De Zerbi’s disposal.

Geoffrey Kondogbia and Hamed Traoré both remain out, whilst Ulisses Garcia, Pol Lirola, and Neal Maupay are all ineligible. Amine Gouiri, who is struggling for form at the start of this season, could drop to the bench for Marseille, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang coming in to replace him. Timothy Weah could also be preferred to Brazilian forward Igor Paixao.
