Tensions flared at the Orange Vélodrome as Marseille were held 2-2 by Strasbourg, with angry scenes after full-time. According to GetFootballNewsFrance.com, around 20-30 supporters tried to force their way into the presidential hospitality via the Jean-Bouin forecourt.

Objects were thrown and security doors were locked as stewards and police blocked any breach. Access points were sealed and CRS officers were deployed, and calm was later restored. Journalists were told to leave via an alternative exit.

The match began in a febrile setting. Sections of ultras staged a 15-minute strike at kick-off and unfurled banners aimed at the players and hierarchy, including messages against Longoria and McCourt. Boos were heard and a smoke bomb was thrown onto the pitch.

Discontent has grown since head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s departure, with Jacques Abardonado in interim charge. Two more dropped points in a season of inconsistency have deepened the sense of drift around the club.
