Jeremy Monga has already made ten appearances for the Foxes
Leicester City manager Marti Cifuentes may already have the perfect solution to replace Abdul Fatawu if the Ghanaian winger departs this summer.
Sunderland have made an opening bid of £28m for the 21-year-old, as per talkSPORT, but the Foxes would surely be in no rush to sell given he has four years left on his current contract.
Everton reportedly admire Fatawu as well - according to journalist Alan Myers, who says the Toffees have him on a list of targets.
The winger was instrumental for Leicester the last time they were in the second-tier - finding the back of the net six times and managing 13 assists in the league during 23/24.
The solution to Leicester's potential Fatawu dilemma has already made ten appearances for the Foxes across all competitions - and his name is Jeremy Monga.
At just 16 years and 37 days old, Monga became the youngest goalscorer in modern Championship history following its re-branding in 04/05.
Cifuentes was full of praise for the teenager after the PNE match, stating in his post-match interview, "He (Monga) deserves the credit.
"He is a talented boy and we are trying to take care of him because he is very humble and that is very important for me because the way he works on the pitch is excellent," he added.
Academy graduates have become a big aspect as to how Leicester make money in recent times, with Ben Chilwell, Harvey Barnes, and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall making over £120m in profit for the club.
Monga is part of a broader golden generation coming from Leicester's Seagrave academy facility, which Leicester Live reported its estimated cost at over £100m.
The outlet also reported that big six sides Chelsea and Manchester City were among the club's battling it out for Monga's signature before he signed a new contract with Leicester.
Jake Evans is another who has appeared for the first team, and fellow academy graduate Kasey McAteer told BBC Radio Leicester that the pair "are just going to keep getting better and better."
Cifuentes has repeatedly spoke of his belief in the club's academy - in fact, he used the word "academy" eight times in his first major interview as manager whilst on pre-season in Austria.
With 180 young players in the system at Seagrave and 52 full-time staff dedicated to their development towards first-team football, it's clear to see just how much effort is put into making the blue part of the East Midlands one of the best youth setups in the country.
It still remains uncertain whether Leicester will get points deducted this season, after being charged with an apparent breach of the EFL's financial rules in May.
This is probably why Leicester won't be able to fork out on a Fatawu replacement from elsewhere if he does end up leaving - and it could also be the reason Cifuentes has only managed to add 38-year-old Asmir Begovic to his squad.
