Strasbourg winger Martial Godo faces a lengthy absence after suffering a muscle injury in training before the pre-season friendly against Newcastle on 16 August.

According to Ici Alsace, head coach Hugo Oliveira has said the Ivorian, aged 23, is not expected back for several weeks.

Godo registered 16 goals and 6 assists in all competitions in 2025-2026, but has endured a slow start this season.

He was named in the starting XI during several summer friendlies, including meetings with Blackburn, Brighton, Elversberg and Fribourg.

Joaquin Panichelli has a serious knee injury, will not play again in 2026 and is expected to return for the restart in January 2027.
