Aston Villa entertained RB Salzburg at Villa Park earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a win in the UEFA Europa League. The Villans made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 33rd minute when Karim Konate found the back of the net. Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Moussa Yeo doubled his team’s advantage in the 49th minute. However, Morgan Rogers got a goal back for the home side in the 64th minute before Tyrone Mings equalised in the 76th minute. Jamaldeen Jimoh ended up scoring a dramatic winner in the 87th minute as the Villans secured a hard-fought 3-2 win away from home.

He came back to defend when he could and made a few decent chances in the final third.

CM: Amadou Onana – 6.5/10

Onana anchored the midfield with conviction and was good on the ball.
