Martinez hope for Juventus as Aston Villa pounce on Suzuki after PSG split | OneFootball

Aston Villa are now in talks for Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki at €35m including add-ons, after PSG pulled out in protest at additional commission, so Juventus regain Emiliano Martinez hope.

The situation on the goalkeeper front has suddenly been turned completely on its head with one huge development this afternoon.

Just as Paris Saint-Germain were scheduling the medical tests for Suzuki, transfer pundit Fabrice Hawkins revealed that the player’s agents demanded extra commission that hadn’t been part of the agreement.

This infuriated the Champions League winners, who walked away and pledged not to go back on their position as a matter of principle.

Within minutes, Fabrizio Romano reported that Aston Villa had got wind of this and immediately started talks with Suzuki’s entourage and Parma to discuss their own swoop.

If that goes through, it will inevitably help Juventus, because it frees up their original first target Emi Martinez.

Aston Villa had been unwilling to release the Argentina international without a suitable replacement, or for under €10m, so this represents a big boost for the Bianconeri.
