Plymouth Argyle star Owen Oseni has dubbed the Bolton Wanderers game on Good Friday ‘massive’, while admitting that he has surpassed his own expectations for the season.
Oseni was playing in the National League for Gateshead only a couple of seasons ago before joining Scottish Premiership club St Mirren last January.
After failing to trouble the scorers in Scotland and subsequently securing a move back to England, Oseni has an impressive eight goals in 18 starts and 12 substitute appearances this season to his name.
Oseni is now focusing on Good Friday’s meeting with Bolton, which he understands the enormity of given the League One playoff race.
The forward also backed his side to pick up six points, against Bolton and Barnsley on Easter Monday, claiming that they could not be ‘any more prepared’.

Oseni said in a pre-match press conference (2:00): “Friday. It’s a massive game.
“I think Friday and Monday is a huge part of our season.
“It’s crucial and I think we’re in the best position to get six points.
“I think we couldn’t be any more prepared as we are right now.

“Obviously coming off the back of our last five games.
“So I think as long as we prepare right and carry out the game plan, I think we should be all right.”
Oseni admitted that he would have taken his goal return if offered in the summer and feels pleased with his development over the course of the season.
“To be fair, I I’ll take that. I’ll take that.
“I think obviously there’s still more to come, obviously with a few games left, but yes, looking back on it now in hindsight, like if I was to say I’d come here in the summer and get as much stats and as much goals, I think I’ I’d be surprised.
“I’d be surprised.
“But it’s good how quick I’ve developed and long may that continue.”
Tom Cleverley has managed to turn the club’s and his own personal fortunes around, after he was backed for the sack in December by former EFL star Cameron Jerome with the side floundering.
Leyton Orient boss Richie Wellens praised Plymouth for sticking with Cleverley ahead of their clash in February when Argyle were 12th in the league with 40 points.
Plymouth now find themselves ninth, two points outside the playoff spots, and positive results over the next few days would only vindicate the club’s decision to stick with Cleverley further.
