Morgan Rogers has his sights set on competing for Premier League title at Chelsea.
Chelsea completed thesigning of Rogers from Aston Villa in a club record £117m deal earlier this summer.
The 23-year-old arrives after an impressive period at Villa Park, which included being named Europa League Player of the Season in 2025/26, as Villa ended a 30-year trophy drought with European success.
Rogers recognises his move to Chelsea now comes with expectation, and said he's determined to add to the club's rich history of challenging for major prizes.
The midfielder arrives at a Chelsea team aiming to rebuild from last season's struggles. Chelsea finished 10th in the Premier League last season, missing out on European qualification.
However, he said the West Londoners are a 'massive team' that is used to 'winning and competing', outlining his ambition to add more silverware to the Stamford Bridge cabinet.
"Chelsea is a club that wants to win things. It's a club that I've always grown up watching win titles, win Champions Leagues and I want to be in teams that do that as well," the summer signing toldSky Sports.
"The players - the [Eden] Hazards, the [Didier] Drogbas, the [Frank] Lampards coming through when I was growing up watching football. It's a massive team and they were always winning and competing for titles and I want to be in teams that do that here.
"There's a lot of players in that room that have the aspirations to do the same thing, so it's exciting where we can take it.
"It's about knuckling down now and proving people wrong who probably had a negative outlook on Chelsea in the last couple of years. I'm excited, I'm positive and I can't wait really."
