Real Sociedad have flown to Germany with a 27-man squad for back-to-back friendlies against Cologne, with Take Kubo in line for his first pre-season minutes, including nine from Sanse.
According to Diario Vasco, they play twice, first on Friday at 18:00 behind closed doors with no live coverage, then on Saturday at 15:30 at RheinEnergieStadion in front of home fans, where likely starters feature.
Goalkeepers are Remiro, Marrero and Theo Folgado, while Fraga remains in Donostia with Sanse. Defenders named are Aramburu, Aihen, Zubeldia, Sergio Gómez, who has overcome recent fitness issues, Jon Martín, Pacheco, Javi López, Ruperez, Beitia and Kita.
Midfield options are Turrientes, Carlos Soler, Yangel, Zakharyan and Sucic, plus B-teamers Lebarbier and Aguirre. It is likely all will see minutes across the two games, with some possibly completing a full match.
In attack, Matarazzo has called Barrenetxea, Óskarsson, Kubo, Carrera, Marchal, Ochieng and Dani Díaz. Díaz steps up after training with the reserves, a move that appears linked to Guedes’s recent absence following a personal operation.
Kubo has trained but is yet to play, so his involvement is not expected to be heavy.
Odriozola, Marín, Karrikaburu, Goti and Gorrotxategi remain sidelined and, with Guedes, have not travelled. Oyarzabal is due to rejoin Matarazzo’s squad next week. Sanse begin their Segunda campaign next weekend against Castellón.
