On LaLiga EA Sports Matchday 33, Valencia CF earned a 1-1 draw with RCD Mallorca at Son Moix, coming back from behind against the team just behind them in the table. Umar Sadiq scored Valencia CF's goal.

The game began with high energy and pace from both sides. Valencia CF pressed in the final third of the pitch without the ball, with Pepelu very active in his makeshift role in the centre of defence, winning his individual duels against Vedat Muriqi.

In the seventh minute, Valencia created a great opportunity to take the lead with a connection on the left flank between José Luis Gayà and Largie Ramazani. He cut inside the penalty area and delivered a low cross for Umar Sadiq to tap in, but Omar Mascarell made the intervention to keep the ball away.
Shortly after, the injured Thierry Correia had to be substituted by Renzo Saravia, making his LaLiga debut for Valencia CF.

RCD Mallorca began to create several chances, but Valencia CF remained solid. Saravia nearly put them ahead with a shot from outside the box that went just wide of Leo Román's post.
Mallorca responded minutes later with another long-range effort, this time from Sergi Darder, but Stole Dimitrievski made the save.

Around the 30-minute mark, César Tárrega stopped a dangerous RCD Mallorca counter-attack that could have seen Asano go through on goal against Dimitrievski. In the following minutes, the Japanese striker also came close to giving Mallorca the lead with a shot from inside the penalty area, but his effort went into the side netting.

SECOND HALF
The first chance of the second half fell to Valencia CF, when Ramazani made a run down the left flank and crossed. Leo Román collected the delivery.
However, two minutes later, at the other end, RCD Mallorca scored with a header from Samu Costa off a cross from Darder, making it 1-0.
Three minutes on from that, the Portuguese midfielder could have increased the lead with a shot in the Valencia CF penalty area after a save by Dimitrievski.
Coach Carlos Corberán made a triple attacking substitution, as Danjuma, Rioja, and Javi Guerra all entered the field of play.

In the next move, Dimitrievski made a great save to prevent RCD Mallorca's second goal after a shot from Jan Virgili. Pepelu and Dimitrievski again came to the rescue from the next opportunity

In the 65th minute, a combination between Danjuma, Javi Guerra, Rioja, and Ramazani nearly resulted in a goal, as the Belgian entered the area and shot for Román to make the save.
Valencia CF levelled with a goal from Sadiq. Luis Rioja crossed for Javi Guerra, who headed on towards the far post for the Nigerian striker to finish into the net and make it 1-1.

A minute later, Dimitrievski made another great save from Virgili. The game then became a frantic end-to-end affair: Ramazani had another chance, but his shot went just wide of the left post.
Luis Rioja and Javi Guerra proved active and effective, and in the 91st minute, Dimitrievski made another excellent save for Valencia CF.

In the final move of the game, Danjuma came very close to securing the victory. Gayà played a cutback, but the Dutchman couldn't quite reach the ball to turn it in. The final whistle was blown amidst a penalty appeal that wasn’t given, and the spoils were shared at Son Moix.

Valencia CF will host Girona FC at Mestalla on Saturday in LaLiga EA Sports.
