Matheus Bidu passed 1,000 minutes for Corinthians this season during Saturday's match against Novorizontino.

According to Fiel Imprensa on X, he is the club's first outfield player to reach that mark in 2026.

Since the year's opener against Ponte Preta in the Campeonato Paulista, Bidu has featured in 13 of the team's 15 matches. He sat out only the State clash with Velo Clube and the Brasileiro meeting with Cruzeiro. Over that stretch he has combined defensive solidity with attacking support, recording one goal and one assist.

For comparison, Yuri Alberto was the first to hit the milestone last year, doing so on 12 March in the second leg against Barcelona de Guayaquil in the Pré-Libertadores.

The off-season gaps underline the contrast. From Corinthians' final game of 2024, against Grêmio in the last round of the Brasileiro, to that Barcelona tie, 94 days passed. From last season's finale, the Copa do Brasil final second leg against Vasco, to the Novorizontino match, the gap was 69 days.

Looking at the left-back specifically, his starting record differed markedly. By the end of February 2025 he had begun seven of 14 matches, rotating under Ramón Díaz with Hugo Farias while Angileri had only just signed.

Corinthians now turn back to the Brasileiro, with Coritiba due at Neo Química Arena next Wednesday at 21:30 for the fifth round.
