According to Meu Timao, Corinthians were held 1-1 by Santos at Vila Belmiro, and Matheus Bidu condemned the late free-kick decision that led to the equaliser in the Campeonato Paulista.

The incident came in second-half stoppage time, at 49 minutes, when Vitinho was brought down on the edge of the box after attempting a nutmeg. From the free-kick, Gabriel Barbosa struck low beyond goalkeeper Hugo Souza.

"With all due respect, I think his mistake was clear and it harmed the result. We fought the whole game and were ahead, but his wrong decision led to their goal," he told HBO Max.

"We knew that, playing at home, they would have to take more risks, but we cannot control third parties. I believe there was a mistake that resulted in their goal, and unfortunately it hurt us now."

The team have not won since beating Ponte Preta on 11 January, and sit seventh, above eighth-placed Santos on tie-breakers. They face Velo Clube on Sunday at 20:30 at Estádio Benito Agnelo Castellano in Rio Claro, in round five.
