An academy product, Pereira returned at the start of the year on loan from Fortaleza until the end of the season. Across 2015 and 2026 he has made 22 appearances for Corinthians, with 10 wins, six draws and six defeats for a 54.5% points return.

He is still seeking his first goal in black and white, but already holds two medals, the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil.

Out since late May following the win over Grêmio, the midfielder is making use of the squad’s break before activities resume.

Corinthians are due back on 25 June for a mid-season camp, with three weeks to prepare for a friendly against Cascavel on 12 July in Paraná.

Meanwhile Memphis Depay remains at the World Cup and is not due a break. The club’s only call-up, the Dutchman faces Japan on Sunday at 17:00, then Sweden on 20 June and Tunisia on 25 June.
