Corinthians right-back Matheuzinho has been named in the Copa Libertadores team of the week after impressing in the 1-0 win over Rosario Central of Argentina that sealed a quarter-final place.
According to Meu Timao, the selection was published on Friday night. Despite being a full-back, the number two is listed in a back three in a three-four-three shape.
Also included are Valle of LDU, Ecuador, plus Gustavo Gómez of Palmeiras and Vázquez of Platense, Argentina. The midfield features Rodríguez of Independiente del Valle, Ecuador, Hércules of Fluminense, and the Flamengo pair Arrascaeta and Samuel Lino. The attack comprises Joaquín Correa and Guido Carrillo of Estudiantes, with Pedro of Flamengo.
