Matias Fernandez-Pardo on verge of Newcastle switch from Lille

Matias Fernandez-Pardo is on the verge of joining Newcastle from Lille.

According to L'Équipe, the 21-year-old Belgium international is travelling to the north of England on Monday to finalise the switch to the Magpies.

He has been looking to leave Lille for several weeks.

Lille president Olivier Létang has secured Japan forward Ayase Ueda to replace him up front.

The agreement with Newcastle is for €65m guaranteed, plus a sell-on clause of around 20 percent.
