Maviram stars as Tondela end three-match losing run

Tondela beat Arouca 3-1 at Estádio João Cardoso, ending a three-match Liga Portugal losing run as Emmanuel Maviram scored and set up two more.

Alfonso Trezza put Arouca ahead from outside the box in the eighth minute. Maviram levelled with a left-foot free kick (12.). Jordan Siebatcheu then turned in from close range after a corner (34.), with the goal awarded following a VAR review.

Before the interval, Bernardo Caltabiano Parise Fontes made three saves to keep the hosts in control as Arouca pushed.

After the restart, substitute Yefrei Rodríguez glanced in Maviram's cross to the top corner (60.) to give Tondela breathing space.

Arouca saw 71% possession and attempted 11 shots, forcing nine corners as they chased the game. Tondela registered 29% possession and five attempts, converting ruthlessly.
