Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl is close to extending his contract at the club, according to Sport Bild. The 52-year-old was informed of the news during the club’s Asia tour. However, the supervisory board is yet to reach a final decision on the matter. The next meeting of the board is scheduled for 25 August. Honorary president and supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß recently put the likelihood of Eberl’s contract extension at “100 percent.”Hoeneß also praised Eberl for “a perfect transfer period.” This summer, Bayern have signed German full-back Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt and Moroccan attacker Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven. Eberl’s contract expires in the summer of 2027, the same as that of CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen, who is also expected to stay with the record German Champions. GGFN | Brook Genene
