Maxence Caqueret set to complete Como medical ahead of move from Lyon | OneFootball

According to RMC Sport, Maxence Caqueret (24) is set to complete a medical on Sunday ahead of a move to Como from Lyon. The French midfielder has agreed personal terms with the Serie A club and a deal has been agreed between the two clubs on a fee in the region of €17m.

Previously a regular starter at his boyhood club, Caqueret has suffered from dwindling first team minuter s and opportunities at OL this season. The midfielder has only played in 40% of the available minutes thus far this season. With Les Gones needing to sell, this made the Frenchman a prime candidate.

Lyon need to sell players in order to satisfy the DNCG of their financial stability after being handed a provisional relegation notice to Ligue 2 if their financial situation doesn’t improve. Caqueret’s pending move to Como would be OL’s first sale of the window with several more needed before it closes.
