Aston Villa welcomed Crystal Palace at Villa Park earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Villans made a poor start to the game as they conceded a penalty, which Jean-Philippe Mateta converted in the 21st minute. The West Midlands club went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.
Marc Guehi doubled the visiting side’s advantage in the 68th minute with a sublime finish. Ismaila Sarr added another goal just ten minutes later as Unai Emery’s men crashed to a dismal 3-0 loss in front of their home fans.
