FC Bayern is back in the final of the DFB Cup for the first time since 2020. Here is the most important information for fans of the record champions ahead of the final against VfB Stuttgart in Berlin

FC Bayern will face VfB Stuttgart at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday evening. It will be the first cup final in six years for the Munich side – and a great opportunity to complete the double after winning the German championship

Vincent Kompany’s team will go into the match as favourites after a strong Bundesliga season. Bayern secured the championship early on and also set a new goalscoring record. Munich also performed at the highest level for a long time in the Champions League, only narrowly losing to Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals

Bayern fans are therefore looking forward to the final in Berlin with great anticipation

The Südkurve München has proclaimed a common motto for the cup final: Bayern supporters should come together in red

Theodor-Heuss-Platz has been designated as the central meeting point, where the fans of the record champions will gather from 2pm on Saturday and get in the mood for the final together

Originally, a different meeting point had been planned, but this had to be moved due to the closure of Breitscheidplatz

In the Olympic Stadium itself, the Bayern fans will occupy the east curve

Final sold out – no more tickets available

The DFB Cup final is already completely sold out and no additional tickets will be available

Those who have not received a ticket for the Olympic Stadium can still watch the match together with other fans. In Munich, public viewing will be offered at the cinema at the Olympic Lake, among other places

TV broadcast and referees

The final between FC Bayern and VfB Stuttgart will be broadcast on both free TV and pay TV

ARD and Sky will begin preliminary coverage on Saturday at 7 p.m. Kick-off in Berlin’s Olympic Stadium will be at 8 p.m

The final will be refereed by FIFA referee Sven Jablonski, the 36-year-old’s first DFB Cup final in his career

Bayern’s experience with Jablonski has been largely positive so far, most recently when he refereed Munich’s 3-2 away win at Borussia Dortmund at the end of February

Big double party planned in Berlin

Bayern have already prepared concrete celebration plans in the event of a cup victory

There will not be another championship party on Munich’s Rathausbalkon after the final, as president Herbert Hainer explained: „The national team players are already going to the national team two days later, so they will go home on Sunday and recover for a day or two and then it will continue.“

The venue is Berlin’s „Kraftwerk“, a well-known event location not far from Alexanderplatz and one of the capital’s best-known venues

An interesting fact: Borussia Dortmund has already celebrated there after losing two cup finals. In 2014, BVB lost 2:0 to FC Bayern in the final, and a year later Dortmund lost 3:1 to VfL Wolfsburg

Munich are determined to avoid such a scenario this time around, as FC Bayern could secure the double for the first time in six years.
