Memphis Depay backs André, Corinthians welcome returns and condemn influencer video

On Sunday, Memphis Depay praised André in a social media response to talk of Milan’s interest, as Corinthians returned to work and condemned an influencer’s video.

The player said in a post that André is among the biggest talents he has seen and should not be sold for just any fee.

On the pitch, Corinthians resumed training after a Saturday off. Dorival Júnior welcomed back Raniele, Allan and Matheus Pereira, and had Jesse Lingard involved.

The squad have two more days to prepare before hosting Coritiba on Wednesday at Neo Química Arena, in the fifth round of the Brasileirão.

Off the pitch, the club issued a statement condemning a video by influencer “Igor Job”. In it he appears in a Corinthians shirt alongside the face of Jeffrey Epstein, a sex offender who died in 2019 while awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges.
