Villarreal sets the price for Pape Gueye

Spanish side Villarreal have set their asking price for Senegalese defensive midfielder Pape Gueye ahead of the upcoming transfer window.

Sought after by several European heavyweights—including Manchester United—the Rabat hero is set to be one of the summer transfer window’s hottest properties.

According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Yellow Submarine wouldn’t turn down an offer of €60 million from the Red Devils—triple his current market value, which is estimated at €20 million by specialized site Transfermarkt.

This season, the Montreuil-born midfielder has featured in 28 matches across all competitions, tallying 3 goals and a single assist.

A pure product of Le Havre’s academy, Pape Gueye joined Olympique de Marseille in 2020 before heading to Spanish club Sevilla on loan.
