Metz extend Pape Sy to 2029, Édouard Soumah-Abbad loaned to Paris 13 Atlético | OneFootball

Metz have extended goalkeeper Pape Sy’s contract and loaned Édouard Soumah-Abbad to Paris 13 Atlético in Ligue 3.

Sy is now tied to the club until June 2029. According to L'Équipe, Soumah-Abbad’s loan includes an option to buy and a sell-on percentage.

Sy, 29, did not become first-choice as promised by the club during the close-season, as Jonathan Fischer did not leave Moselle as initially expected. He has nevertheless committed his future and remains part of the project.

Soumah-Abbad, 23, a winger or midfielder, moves to Paris 13 Atlético until the end of the 2026-27 season. He was not in Luc Holtz’s plans.

An academy graduate who returned after three consecutive loans, he now heads out to seek regular minutes in Ligue 3.
