Mexico meets Jamaica in Final Round of the Women’s U-17 Qualifiers

MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2026 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers kicks off with Mexico facing Jamaica in Group C on Tuesday at the Costa Rican Football Federation Field #2 in Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Mexico is set to open its qualifying campaign as one of the four top-ranked teams in the region, which received a bye to the Final Round after securing a third-place finish in last year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. This will be Mexico’s fourth consecutive appearance in the Final Round.
Jamaica enters the decisive stage of the Women’s U-17 Qualifiers after winning Group D in Round One. The Reggae Girlz put together an undefeated 3-1-0 record for a total 10 points, scoring nine goals and only conceding one in the process.
All-Time series
This will be the fifth meeting between Mexico and Jamaica in the Concacaf Women’s U-17 Championship. Mexico leads the series with three wins and one draw.

3-0 – Group A, March 13, 2010, at Estadio Alejandro Morera Soto in Alajuela, Costa Rica. Goals from Daniela Alejandra Salcedo, Lucero Bañuelos, and Diana Victoria González.
1-1 – Group A, November 3, 2013, at Catherine Hall Sports Complex in Montego Bay, Jamaica. Betzy Casandra Cuevas scored for Mexico, while Felicia Davidson scored for the Caribbean side.
