Michael Zetterer ‘to make’ Leeds United decision within 48 hours | OneFootball

Michael Zetterer is expected to decide his future within the next 48 hours, according to Sky Germany, as Leeds United pursue him to be their No.2 goalkeeper.

The Premier League club have tabled an improved offer as they look to add cover behind their first-choice goalkeeper.

The move is not said to be held up by talks between Leeds and Eintracht Frankfurt, with the decisive factor instead being Zetterer.

Speaking last week, his agent Nico Pellatz said: “We are very surprised by reports that Michael Zetterer is supposedly close to a transfer. They do not correspond to the truth. Michael and his family feel very comfortable in Frankfurt. A transfer is currently not an option for him.”

Eintracht have secured Freiburg’s Noah Atubolu on loan with an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met. With Kaua Santos also at the club, that move could accelerate Zetterer’s departure.
