"Michael’s game is more mature" – Rummenigge compares Olise to Yamal | OneFootball

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Michael Olise and Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal are the best wingers in the world, even suggesting that the Bayern Munich star’s game is “more mature”.

“Olise is outstanding in his position,” the Bayern Munich supervisory board member told Abendzeitung.

“There are two exceptional players in that position: Michael Olise and Lamine Yamal. At the moment, I would even say that Michael’s game is more mature,” Rummenigge continued.

The 71-year-old believes Bayern will eventually have to take action to try to extend Olise’s contract amid continued speculation surrounding the Frenchman's future.

“His contract runs until 2029. One day, the club will have to sit down with him and offer him an appropriate new contract,” Rummenigge said.

He also commented on Olise’s limited media appearances and reluctance to give interviews.

“I prefer players to give everything on the pitch rather than in interviews. In my opinion, some media outlets have turned this into a campaign. As far as I know, he has no contractual obligation to give lots of interviews,” Rummenigge said.
