Miguelito and Santos under-20 defender called up by Bolivia for World Cup play-off | OneFootball

Bolivia have called up Santos duo Miguelito, a midfielder, and centre-back Marcelo Contreras for a World Cup play-off against Suriname. According to Globo.com, both are in head coach Óscar Villegas's squad.

The match will be played on 26 at 20:00 Brasília time at El Gigante de Acero in Guadalupe, Mexico.

The winner will face Iraq on one April at 00:00 Brasília time at the same stadium. That game decides who goes to this year's World Cup. Bolivia have three appearances and have not featured since 1994 in the United States.

If Bolivia advance to the second play-off, Miguelito may miss Santos' meeting with Remo in round nine of the Campeonato Brasileiro, scheduled for one to two April.

After a loan to América-MG last season, the Bolivian midfielder has earned minutes under Juan Pablo Vojvoda at Santos. He has played 12 games this year, providing two assists.

Contreras has been a starter for Santos' under-20s this season. He has made seven appearances across the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior and the Brasileiro at that level.
