Mika Godts was pulled from Ajax’s starting XI at the last minute for their Eredivisie opener at Zwolle, with PSG tracking the 21-year-old Belgian left winger.

At 13:15 Ajax posted their line-up on social media and Godts was named to start. His agent, Niels De Jonck, later told De Telegraaf the decision was unrelated to PSG and down to workload.

A few minutes after kick-off, he was withdrawn from the XI, with fitness cited, and Abdellah Ouazane came in for his Eredivisie debut.

He took a place on the bench.

Godts had started the first three matches of Ajax’s season in the Conference League, against Vojvodina home and away and Shelbourne last Thursday, scoring in the first leg against Shelbourne. PSG have opened talks in recent days.
