Angry Arteta reveals plan following title let-off as Gunners dealt fresh injury setback
Mikel Arteta wants Arsenal to hit the reset button after their lucky escape against Wolves.
Arsenal needed a 94th-minute own goal to beat Wolves 2-1 on a dramatic night at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
The Gunners looked set to drop more points in the title race when Tolu Arokodare equalised for Wolves in the 90th minute.
They escaped with a crucial victory to move five points clear at the top of the Premier League but Arteta fired a warning to his players after what he called an “unacceptable” and “horrible” display.

Arteta now faces a big week to lift his players ahead of their trip to Everton.
Arsenal have a clear midweek to prepare for the game at the Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday and Arteta has revealed their plan following their let-off against Wolves.
“What we have to do now is reset, give them two days that they can decompress a little bit and then we have a long week that we can prepare,” said Arteta.
“When we don't train, there are things that slowly deteriorate and certain habits start to deteriorate because you don't train them and use that opportunity to do so, give it will everybody a boost because we know that the Christmas period is often seen as season-defining and we want to be on top of it.
Arteta also revealed the “big lesson” Arsenal can take away from the game.
“I knew that wasn't going to be an easy game at all, but we made it even harder with what we did in the manner that we conceded the goal and that's unacceptable,” he said.
“Learn from it and then move on, and every time you win in the Premier League, you should be happy.
“You should be conscious of the difficulty of it, but we made it even harder for ourselves today and that's the big lesson that we have to do.
“When the opponent merits something, that's fine and they did a lot of things to make it difficult for us, but that's one of the things that, I don't know, we should make sure that we improve them.”
Arsenal lost Ben White to a hamstring problem against Wolves, as their injury woes continued after William Saliba, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber returned.
White will undergo scans in the coming days to determine the extent of the problem and Arteta said: “Yeah that's bad news for sure.
“Obviously he hasn't played a lot of minutes because of the previous knee issue that he had, then the moment he started to get some momentum he had to play a lot because we didn't have any other solution.
“We had to even risk Wilo today because probably it wasn't their best call to play 90 minutes because we were buying tickets for another injury, but we don't have anybody else.”
