Reports in Italy claim that it is not just Atletico Madrid interested in a potential deal with Juventus for Nico Gonzalez, but that Milan could be poised to make a last-minute swoop for the Argentine winger.
Nico Gonzalez is back in training with Juventus after spending the 2025-26 season on loan in the Spanish capital under Diego Simeone.

Atletico’s loan deal for Nico Gonzalez included a potential obligation to buy for €32m, but in the end, the Argentine did not make the required number of LaLiga appearances for the obligation to buy clause to be triggered.
Still, both he and Atleti are reportedly keen to continue working together. The Argentine put in a series of encouraging performances during his time in Madrid and is still hoping to return, but Atleti thus far have not been able to strike a deal with Juventus for his permanent transfer.
Juventus have been willing to lower their €32m valuation of Nico Gonzalez, but are still seeking a fee in the region of €28m.

Now, according to reports from Tuttosport and various other outlets in Italy, there could be another option on the cards for Nico Gonzalez this summer in Milan.
Tuttosport claims that Milan have the funds available to be able to satisfy Juventus’s demands, and that they also have several players they may be able to offer the Old Lady in an exchange deal, including the likes of Fikayo Tomori and Youssouf Fofana.
Fofana and Tomori are part of a list of players now considered surplus to requirements in San Siro by Rossoneri head coach Ruben Amorim. They and several other players are no longer part of the project and this could lead to a ‘mini-revolution’ towards the end of the summer transfer window.
Monday’s report from Tuttosport claims that Milan could shift up to 12 players before the close of the transfer window and that Amorim is still hoping to add another five or six new faces to his squad, especially in attacking areas.
