AC Milan are in advanced talks with Nottingham Forest to sign Omari Hutchinson on a season-long loan with an option to buy, according to The Athletic.
Hutchinson moved to Forest from Ipswich Town for £37.5million a year ago but could now depart the City Ground. Personal terms are largely in place.
The 22-year-old registered eight assists and one goal in 42 appearances in 2025-26. He has been omitted from Forest’s matchday squad for the first two Premier League games under new manager Oliver Glasner. He came on for the final 11 minutes in the midweek Carabao Cup second-round defeat to Leeds United, which could prove his last outing for the club.
Hutchinson could help fill the void left by Rafael Leao. Leao is a target for Galatasaray and Aston Villa and now looks likely to join the Turkish club. Milan have accepted a €45million (£38.5m) package from Galatasaray for Leao, who has been offered an annual salary of €10-12m net.
Hutchinson, who has previously represented Jamaica, came through Arsenal’s academy before joining Chelsea in summer 2022. The England under-21 international joined Ipswich on loan in July 2023 and made the move permanent a year later. He has 63 Premier League appearances, with four goals and nine assists.
