Milan have stepped up efforts to secure Mike Maignan’s future, with negotiations over a new contract now entering a decisive phase.

After months of uncertainty, the Rossoneri have formally presented a renewal proposal to the French goalkeeper, whose current deal expires in June. The offer reflects Milan’s intention to resolve the situation quickly and recognise Maignan’s status as a central figure in the squad.

The proposed agreement is understood to run for three years, with an option for a fourth, via MilanNews24.

Milan are offering a fixed salary of around €5.5 million net per season, a substantial increase designed to place Maignan among the club’s highest earners.

The package also includes performance-related bonuses considered relatively accessible, primarily tied to appearances and individual objectives.

These would push the Frenchman’s total earnings into the €6.5-7 million net range, effectively aligning him with Rafael Leão at the top of Milan’s wage structure.

Additional incentives linked to collective targets, such as Champions League qualification and domestic success, are also part of the proposal.

The renewed momentum has been driven by sporting director Igli Tare and head coach Massimiliano Allegri, both of whom view Maignan as untouchable for the next cycle.

With figures now clearly defined, Milan are increasingly confident of reaching full agreement.
