Serie A side Milan were keen on getting rid of Youssouf Fofana in the summer transfer window. They found a suitable suitor in Sevilla, who signed the Frenchman on a loan deal.

Rumours online have been going around that the Andalusian side will pay only 8% of the midfielder’s salary. The number was spread by Sevilla, who released a statement about the deal. This has caused debate and discussion but it seems like that isn’t true and Milan have a better deal than what many thought.

MilanNews report that Sevilla have no option to buy Fofana permanently and instead of 8%, they are paying 40% of his wages.

This was an important aspect of the deal and probably convinced Milan into sending the player to the Andalusian club. It came about right after Lyon had failed to seal the move and a deal failed to materialise on deadline day, handing Sevilla the chance.

The move is quite important for Fofana’s career, as he struggled in his second season at the Rossoneri. He could become a central figure at Sevilla and re-establish his reputation once again.
