Nottingham Forest’s injury picture is sharpening as the international break winds down, with Nikola Milenkovic nearing fitness and Nicolo Savona still being managed carefully.

It will be more than three weeks since their 1-0 home defeat to Coventry City when they visit Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on October 11. Oliver Glasner, returning to a former stomping ground with Forest, told Nottingham Post: "Yes, he should be available for Palace."

Milenkovic missed the Aston Villa and Coventry fixtures with a hamstring issue and is now back in training.

The full-back Savona has been out since January following knee surgery. Glasner recently said his recovery is on track and he could rejoin team training during or just after the break. He was not involved in Thursday’s session.

The head coach stressed they are proceeding cautiously after previous reactions in the knee, gradually increasing individual work and monitoring the response. There is no pressure on a return date, and so far the rehab is progressing.
