Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in Millwall winger Femi Azeez in case Amario Cozier-Duberry is sold this summer
Brighton and Hove Albion are interested in making a move for Millwall winger Femi Azeez this summer in case Amario Cozier-Duberry leaves the club, with interest from teams in the Championship and Scotland rife.
According to BBC Sport's Nizaar Kinsella, Brighton have turned down a fresh £7.5 million bid from Rangers for 21-year-old winger Cozier-Duberry, as the Seagulls are eyeing a move for Millwall's Azeez in case of his departure.
Cozier-Duberry shone on loan in League One with Bolton Wanderers last season, and with a couple of years remaining on his deal at the Amex, faces an ultimatum on his future this summer, as any move could see Azeez depart The Den for the South Coast.
The talented winger has been linked with West Ham alongside Rangers, with Millwall sure to be closely monitoring developments on that front.

Azeez, 25, enjoyed an excellent campaign with Millwall in the English second tier last season, scoring 11 and assisting eight in 35 league games for the Lions, earning a place in the Championship Team of the Season as a result.
The Nigerian international was the subject of heavy interest from Ipswich Town during the January 2026 window, with Millwall knocking back club-record bids from the Tractor Boys for the winger.
Premier League outfit Hull City, who knocked Millwall out of the play-offs on their way back to the top flight, are also reportedly interested in a deal to bring the 25-year-old to the Premier League this summer, but now face competition from Brighton.
The Seagulls have a plethora of wide options at their disposal, including Kaoru Mitoma, Zadok Yohanna, Ibrahim Osman, Yankuba Minteh, as well as, for the moment, Cozier-Duberry, but Fabian Hürzeler is seemingly keen to add Azeez to the mix.
Kinsella reports that the Nigerian international is likely to leave South Bermondsey before the September deadline, in what would be a huge blow for Alex Neil's side, whose promotion hopes will no doubt take a huge blow in the event of his departure.
Football League World's Millwall fan pundit, Lucas Ball, has previously demanded an eight figure fee to part ways with Azeez amid previous interest, as this is one to keep a close eye on.

As a youngster, Azeez spent time playing for London-based sixth-tier side Wealdstone FC before linking up with Reading's academy in 2019.
He made 89 appearances for the Royals across all competitions, scoring 11 and assisting 11, enjoying a real breakthrough year during the 2023/24 campaign, before securing a move to Millwall the summer after for around just £1 million.
After a quiet first year at The Den, Azeez sprang into life last season, grabbing 19 direct goal contributions in 35 Championship games for Neil's side, who finished just one point beneath the automatic promotion spots.
Quick, direct, and with flair in abundance, Azeez is best utilised off the right flank, where he can cut in on his preferred left, just like Cozier-Duberry, as the Nigerian could be the ideal replacement for him at the Amex.
Still only 25, there is ample room for Azeez to continue to grow and develop, and with a team known for developing talent as well as Brighton in recent years, this move may prove to be difficult to turn down.

With Brighton emerging as the latest club to register an interest in Azeez, Millwall fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the news.
This Millwall fan would like to see Cozier-Duberry head in the opposite direction in the event of any deal, in what would surely be another piece of wonderful business by the Lions.
Under contract at The Den until the summer of 2028, Millwall are under no immediate pressure to sell Azeez just yet, and are well within their rights to demand such a fee given the amount of interest.
