Plenty of Millwall fans have been left livid as eye-opening ticket prices are revealed for much-anticipated West Ham United clash.

The eagerly-anticipated clash between rivals Millwall and West Ham is edging closer, but there's been a serious talking point away from matters on the pitch.

It's recently been revealed that some supporters have listed their tickets online for some eye-opening figures ahead of the clash at The Den on Saturday 19th September, 2026 at 12:30 BST.

The minimum price for a ticket on a resale site is £422, which is certain to raise eyebrows, and spark fury amongst some of the supporters from both clubs, who will feel as though they're being priced out of a chance in getting a ticket to the match.

Unsurprisingly, tickets are in significant demand for this fixture, which will be a hugely entertaining battle on the pitch, with both Millwall and West Ham having promotion ambitions this season.

Matchday prices at Millwall are as high as £44 for Category A matches, and so the minimum price on a resale site being £422 is quite frankly, ludicrous.

The social media post even revealed that there is a ticket listed for £1,906 for the game, although it seems unlikely that any supporter will stump up that sort of money for the game.

West Ham hold the recent bragging rights

West Ham and Millwall haven't faced off since 2012, in a game that was won 2-1 by the Hammers, in what was the last derby played at Upton Park.

The most recent clash between the two teams at The Den was a goalless draw in September 2011, whilst the game before that was a West Ham 3-1 win after extra time in the EFL Cup.

Millwall's most recent win over their bitter rivals was in November 2004, as Danny Dichio scored the winner against ten-man West Ham, who had Marlon Harewood sent-off for a second bookable offence just after the hour mark.

Millwall have certainly shown promising signs in recent years, and were unlucky not to win promotion into the Premier League for the first time in thier history last term.

The Lions were beaten by Hull City in their play-off semi-final over two legs, with the Tigers going on to beat Middlesbrough in the final, as they returned to the top-flight.

Millwall are currently top of the Championship table with maximum points, and they'll fancy their chances of edging out West Ham in a few weeks time, in what should be great viewing for the neutral.

West Ham haven't started this season as strongly as they would have liked, with the Hammers sharing the points with Burnley in matchday one, before suffering a shock defeat at home to Charlton Athletic last time out.

All will likely be forgotten if the Hammers can beat Millwall in September though, especially away from home, in what should be a fiery atmosphere from the first whistle.
