Millwall boss Alex Neil has said that his new signings can give his side the boost they need ahead of their clash against Wrexham.
Goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is in line to start against Wrexham after joining on loan from Sunderland, whilst 19-year-old Tommy Watson could feature from the bench.
Neil said: “As a club we’re in a strong position… probably the one element we needed to add was a little bit more creativity across the squad… The lads we’ve brought in have been brought in specifically to add in those areas.”
Neil heavily praised Watson, he said: “Tom is a really talented kid. Still young, got all his best years ahead of him, but again, he had big moments as a young player, albeit limited in terms of time. He’s definitely got quality and hopefully can add an extra strength to our bow going forward.”
Millwall remain without Joe Bryan, Daniel Kelly, Lukas Jenson, Massimo Luongo and Will Smallbone due to injury.
With six wins in their last eight matches, the Lions currently sit fifth in the Championship. However, they fell short against Wrexham in the reverse fixture, losing 2-0 at home.
