Mirassol fought back for a 2-2 draw at Remo in the Brasileirão, climbing from sixth to fourth as the hosts collected their first point of the season in Belém on Wednesday.

In the eighth minute, João Pedro turned in from very close range after Alef Manga's delivery following a corner, and Manga then hit the top right from the centre of the box (39.) to put Leão Azul two up.

Walter kept Mirassol alive with four first half saves, smothering and tipping efforts as the visitors weathered pressure before the break.

After half time changes, the bench swung it. José Aldo fed Igor to pull one back (81.), then Nathan Uiliam Fogaça turned in João Victor Carroll's set-piece delivery for the equaliser (89.).

Ten minutes of added time were indicated and António Galeano drew a low stop from Marcelo Rangel as Mirassol chased a winner in the closing stages.

The visitors enjoyed 63.6% possession and produced five efforts on target from eight attempts. Leão Azul registered 18 attempts with seven on target and 36.4% of the ball.

Next, Leão Azul host Águia Marabá in the Paraense. Mirassol visit Capivariano in the Paulista.
