Miroslav Klose full of praise for Bayern loanee Tarek Buchmann after Nürnberg debut

Nürnberg coach Miroslav Klose lauded Bayern Munich loanee Tarek Buchmann after the defender finally made his 1. FC Nürnberg debut in a 3-2 win over Holstein Kiel.

The 21-year-old centre-back, on loan since the summer, had to wait until the 26th matchday to feature because of a foot injury. According to BuLi News, Klose praised his reading of the game, passing and proactive defending.

He also highlighted Buchmann’s courage and commitment in duels, saying the youngster looked close to a seasoned professional given the setbacks he has endured.

Klose expressed hope of keeping Buchmann beyond this season, adding that further discussions will be needed and that other parties are involved in any decision.

Buchmann is under contract with Bayern Munich until 2027.
